Aula Maxima
The Aula Maxima, or Great Hall, is the symbolic heart of University College Cork. It is the venue for many of the formal and high profile events in the Academic year; presidential inaugurations, honorary conferring ceremonies, concerts, recitals and banquets. Described in 1849 by The Cork Examiner as ‘one of the most magnificent rooms in Ireland’ this is the perfect venue for any gathering. Two impressive stained glass windows illuminate this hall with its high ceilings and lovingly restored and maintained interior décor.

Staff Common Room
This cosy room is the perfect venue for any intimate gathering with its comfortable couches, tub chairs and desk lambs giving the room an informal, homely and inviting atmosphere.

Staff Dining Room
The less formal surroundings of the staff dining room lend itself perfectly to a casual breakfast, lunch, or dinner gathering. Located to the side of the main restaurant just off the main quadrant this area is perfect for any occasion. Renovated in 2008 this is a bright airy space, with comfortable leather chairs and a modern fresh feel.

Main Restaurant
A large venue for a relaxed gathering of any form this area is the hub of student life on campus. With a long history behind it this is the original restaurant of the college. The Main Restaurant is a colourful vibrant space that can be adapted to suit your occasion perfectly.

Mini Restaurant
This contemporary room above the main restaurant in the very centre of campus is available for any event or gathering. This is a bright airy venue which can easily be transformed to suit your needs for the occasion. With a combination of modern tall stools beside chunky high benches and low cosy leather chairs under exaggerated lampshades this truly is a room to make your own.

The Old College Bar
The ideal venue on campus for any club or society gathering, with a stage and amplification readily available, this newly renovated college bar is the centre of campus life and has been a popular meeting student meeting point for many years. With a new vibrancy following this years renovation the bar now holds large plasma screens, a pool table, juke box and dart board. This is the ideal location for holding music, comedy and sports viewing events or perhaps pre-ball drinks, pool tournaments or just about any party.
